A resident engagement program that turns plant care into outdoor activity, connection and purpose.
How it worksC1D Solutions is proud to introduce our Assisted Living and Long-Term Care Facility Program, a unique resident engagement initiative designed to combine outdoor activity, personal purpose, social interaction, and plant stewardship into one rewarding experience.
The program allows facilities to offer residents the opportunity to participate in the care and treatment of trees, shrubs, flowers, and landscape plants using C1D Solutions food-grade and organic plant health products.
Facility staff identify trees, shrubs, flowers, gardens, and landscape areas suitable for participation.
Maple Tree #1 • Rose Garden Bed #3 • Lilac Bush #2 • Community Flower Garden
Residents select one or more plants to sponsor and care for — “Mary’s Maple Tree,” “John’s Rose Garden,” or “The Smith Family Lilac.” Sponsors can also be groups or teams.
On scheduled treatment days, staff assist residents in visiting their sponsored plants. Residents help:
Research consistently shows interaction with nature can positively impact:
Residents enjoy seeing the results of their efforts throughout the year as plants respond to regular care and attention.
Rather than focusing on pests or diseases, C1D Solutions supports plant vigor, root development, and overall health.
A resident sponsors a mature maple tree. Each month:
Over time, the resident develops a meaningful connection to the landscape and the care of the facility grounds.
The program is designed to be self-supporting while creating additional revenue via resident activities.
This additional revenue may help offset:
| Facility cost | 1 gallon = $100 |
| Treatment capacity | Approx. 4–8 mature trees |
| Resident program fee | Quart Sponsorship Package = $50 |
| Revenue (4 quarts per gallon) | 4 residents × $50 = $200 |
| Facility product cost | $100 |
| Potential gross margin | $100 per gallon |
Families may sponsor trees in honor of loved ones.
Residents receive a sponsored tree treatment as part of their birthday celebration.
Dedicated trees honoring veterans living within the facility.
Children and grandchildren can participate alongside residents.
Residents collectively care for flowers, vegetables, herbs, and ornamental gardens.
At C1D Solutions, we believe every resident deserves purpose, participation, and connection.
By combining plant stewardship with resident engagement, facilities can create meaningful experiences that enrich lives while supporting healthier landscapes.
